The Chapel of Peace
2011

is the former curates’ sacristy of Sainte Catherine Church in Villeneuve-sur-lot. It is used for daily mass. 
We needed to fit it out rapidly and economically.
A monochrome of three greys and discreet patterns – seven trees, free branches ending like the stained-glass windows’ lozenges – dominate. Colour is brought in by the vivid red of the altar and the tabernacle, and brightened by scoured and cleaned doors.
